Function
SUPPORT FUNCTIONS - FINANCE
Main Goal
Responsible for general accounting functions including but not limited to billing, receiving payments, reconciling, limited customer service, journal entries, and payroll support. Responsible for inventory costing including updating new items, monthly cost roll-up updates, and quarterly seed cost component updates.
Reconciliation and management of fixed assets, calculate and post monthly depreciation, and record new fixed asset purchases.
Support the Credit Management: collecting credit information for new customers, run credit reports on existing customers, and be backup for releasing credit holds per the credit policy guidelines.
Support with month end reporting. Prepare, enter, and reconcile general ledger journal entries as assigned. Learn and provide backup support for all functions of Accounts Payables as needed.
Support implementation of operational best practices.
Job description
Essential Functions
· Maintain Accounts Receivable.
· Support Accounts Payable
· Maintain Inventory Costing and Inventory Control.
· Maintain Fixed Assets.
· Reconcile to General Ledger and sub ledgers.
· Support in payroll functions (including posting payroll, accruals, and other payroll variables).
· Monthly close of Accounts Receivable.
o Calculate, apply, and write-off finance charges, as applicable.
o Verify accuracy of Accounts Receivable Aging.
o Send customer statements, monthly.
o Manage collections.
· Support with month end closing of General Ledger.
o Reconciliation of account receivable accounts and prepare journal entries.
o Manage the accounts of A/R Trade, including proving semi-monthly Past Due AR Aging Reports.
o Intercompany billing, reporting and reconciliation.
· Filing, data entry, written and verbal correspondence, and other general office duties as required.

Skills: what we expect of you
Qualifications
A. Degree in related field, CPA a plus
B. 5 years’ experience in bookkeeping and/or accounting practices preferred
C. Basic office environment experience (phones, copying, faxing, filing etc.)
D. Computer skills (working knowledge of MS Office Suite, Internet, E-mail)
E. Spanish language skills a plus.
