Main Goal

For the field seeds business in Ukraine, you develop and implement the mid and short term sales strategy, supervise all sales activities and manage the sales organization to increase sales effectiveness and achieve the revenues and business targets.

Job description

Reporting to the Business Area Manager for Ukraine, your main responsibilities are:
- Manage a team of 6 direct reports and a total staff of 26 people
- Develop appropriate organizational structure for sales: Ensure availability of required competencies and capacities by recruiting, selecting, orienting, motivating and training sales employees.
- Set and monitor sales targets and sales effectiveness KPIs.
- Prepare sales forecasts and budgets.
- Develop and implement the distribution strategy and commercial policy
- Develop and supervise the implementation of sales programs and field sales action plans targeting farmers.
- Monitor sales volume, price and sales Opex against budget/forecast.
- Directly negotiate and build close and long lasting partnership with strategic national distributors.
- Organize and lead the local demand planning and allocation processes.
- Identify, assess and capture new business opportunities in Ukraine.
- Closely work with the Marketing team, support the development and the implementation of the marketing plan.


Should be graduated with a Master degree in Business or Agriculture and have at least 5 years' experience in managing sales organization at national or regional level.
You have a good knowledge of the agriculture business and its key market players.

You are recognized for your ability to drive the sales process from plan to close, your strong business sense and your prospecting and negotiation skills.
Strong leadership and management skills are also requested to succeed as Sales Director.
