Ensure random and representative inspections of seed production fields (network, Home Farms, R&D stations) at different stages of crop with main emphasis IP Security and Compliance
• Maintain QA inspection records/database and generate reports
• Ensure communication of non-conforming activities that could represent a significant risk to IP security.
• Perform Internal Audits when requested
• Inspect and document for all seeds, traceability procedures must be adhered to throughout the process from research, production to factory and shipping
• Prepare a detailed inspection plan season/location wise at the beginning of each work phase.
• Prepare corrective and preventive actions for the observed deviations and update the QA, Production, R&D leadership teams. Assist / Involve Continuous Improvement projects in related to IP/ quality of seed in the company when necessary.
• Additional value-added work- to perform crop inspections of seed production fields for all exception management
• Experience in vegetable seed productions and field quality
• Master or BSc. in agricultural, biology, agronomy, horticulture with 3-4 years of experience in seed industry in related activity
• Good knowledge on intellectual property rights related to Seed business
Field inspections and internal auditing skills are added advantages.
Required Competencies:
• Knowledge of seed science, Field inspections/audits
• Proficient in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Power Point)
• Flexibility to travel in agricultural fields
• Fluency in Local language (Hindi and Kannada*)
• An ability to analyze and interpret information quickly
