SALES & MARKETING - MARKETING

Main Goal

B2B Manager: Ensure B2B Sales and B2B Purchases by complying with the relevant competition laws and any other law as applicable. B2B sales: analyze opportunities for existing varieties to develop market footprint and ensure sustainable Margin. In parallel facilitate liquidation of high inventory varieties with low or no existing market. B2B purchases: Identify, thanks to inputs coming from sales and PMs, gaps between our portfolio and markets opportunity. This will help to define which external partners (outside LG Group) could sell to us varieties. Strategy to gain some market shares in specific markets for which ones we will be able to deliver high value varieties.

Job description

·       B2B Global:


 


Ø  Develop and implement short-term and long-term strategies for achieving sales goals. 


Ø  Prepare the target partnership landscape and roadmap, based on the company strategy and explore new partners/other revenue channels 


Ø  Prepare business plan


Ø  Responsible for lead generation and deal closure with necessary and compliant documentation and agreements.


Ø  Provide frequent updates to senior leadership on sales advancement, project status and overall benefit to the business


Ø  Represent company in National/International Forums. 


Ø  Initiate and ensure alignment on forecast and inventory with Supply and Marketing


 


 


 


·       B2B Sales:


Ø  Establish sales opportunities through networking, build relationships with the veg seed industry and maintain existing ones. 


Ø  Identify potential opportunities/partners to accelerate business volume


Ø  Continuously engage and update B2B partners for new products, build long term relationship


Ø  Support B2B partners with all required information for regulatory & statutory authorities for product registration, licenses and other statutory compliances. Coordinate with internal R&D when necessary.


Ø  Distribute seed samples to B2B partners for trials at their target locations


Ø  Suggest pricing as per market scenario and product performance. For new products, discuss with Marketing to validate introduction price.


Ø  Prepare/advance sales forecast with B2B partners


Ø  Continuously engage with Marketing to identify potential varieties from our pipeline that could fit for customer requirements


Ø  Invite B2B partners to specific B2B field days to understand their requirements and to propose new products.


 


·       B2B Purchase:


Ø  Understand Portfolio Gaps and Markets needs from product manager


Ø  Select supplier based on the breeding strength & market image, and/or by attending their crop shows/field demonstrations.


Ø  Ensure trials are coordinated by PMs and PMs provide testing results. 

Skills: what we expect of you

·       Minimum of a B.Sc/B.A degree in Agronomy, Agricultural Engineering, Business or Science required.


·       Minimum 5 years experience in Sales (B2B Sales would be a plus), with proven track record of performance and successes.


·       Minimum Bachelor degree in Agronomy / Agri. Sciences / Horticulture or Agricultural Engineering / Science required. MBA/PGDM – Marketing / Agribusiness Management would be added advantage


·       Master’s in Business Management (MBA) / Marketing Management / with non-agri graduate study can apply, provided you have work experience in agri / seed industry
