Main Goal
Limagrain Europe, specialized in Field Seeds throughout Europe, is recruiting an Experimentation Technician (M/F) for its Silage Corn Research activity, on a permanent contract, to reinforce the teams at its Longué-Jumelles site (Maine-et-Loire, near Angers).
Reporting to the Experimentation Manager, you will carry out and organize the various tasks at the station and in the field.
Job description
As an Experimentation Technician, you will be in charge, independently, of several trial sites, and you will carry out the following main tasks:
- Choice of plots in conjunction with the farmer
- Computerized and technical set-up of trials, compliance with and verification of protocols
- Organization and execution of sowing operations
- Follow-up of the trial network, making proposals on the notations to be triggered
- Management of the plot's technical itinerary in conjunction with the farmer
- Organization and execution of harvesting operations
You will control and validate the phenotypic data produced on your trial network.
You will manage a team of seasonal staff. As such, you will organize the work, train new staff and ensure that protocols and safety standards are applied.
You will be able to operate specialized agricultural equipment for silage and grain, and use on-board software during harvesting.
You'll keep a close eye on the latest developments in equipment and farming techniques.
Two peaks of activity are to be expected during the year, during sowing and harvesting, with travel in the Grand Ouest region.
Skills: what we expect of you
o You have an agricultural BTS or Licence Pro in agriculture.
o You are keen to work in the field, and have the required aptitudes. You are recognized for your rigor, autonomy and ability to take initiative. You enjoy working in a multidisciplinary, multicultural and international team.
o The ability to drive agricultural equipment specialized in experimentation is required for this position.
o Given the duties of the position, possession of an EC heavy goods vehicle license would be a real plus. Candidates must be willing to obtain it, and Limagrain may participate in financing its acquisition.
o A working level of English would be a plus.
o You have the ability to manage a team of seasonal workers.
o You have a taste for new technologies.

Our recruitment process consists of several stages:
- the first consists of a pre-sorting of applications by Jérémy, our Talent Acquisition Manager, accompanied by future manager Romain to establish a shortlist of candidates to audition. A telephone pre-qualification may be carried out.
