SALES & MARKETING - MARKETING
Main Goal
To develop and implement the UK marketing strategy and lead the team to deliver the business and financial objectives for the UK and contribute to the achievement of the Business Area North West Europe performance. Lead and develop an industry leading marketing team that develops strong demand for LG varieties to deliver against financial KPI's and aligned to clear strategic targets. To be responsible, as part of the management team, for the development and implementation of strategic roadmaps for the UK and the BA NW Europe.
Job description
As Marketing Manager for BA North West Europe and member of the BA Management Team:
o To contribute to and be responsible for the Business Area Roadmap and implementation in UK
o To identify marketing synergies, knowledge sharing and organisational requirements for the BA, and where appropriate implement BA marketing projects and establish teams
o As a member of the management team of the UK, to lead the marketing strategy development and contribute to and be responsible for the UK Roadmap and implementation
o Develop and implement the UK marketing strategy across the wholesale and retail business for all crop areas – go to market strategy, portfolio positioning, demand creation activities etc. to deliver the financial and business objectives (revenues, profit and market share)
o Prepare sales budgets and forecasts, and track progress to manage and mitigate risks
o Monitor and report periodically on sales performance. Propose and implement corrective actions in case of deviation from budget
o Lead the product management team to develop and implement marketing campaigns for all crop areas, to deliver against agreed financial budgets
o Work with the Sales Director Nickerson to develop retail sales as part of a total joined up Limagrain market approach strategy and tactical plan for the whole market with clear objectives and measures.
o Lead others to their best potential by acting as a mentor
o Lead the Marketing Communications team to develop performance and competencies and achieve financial KPI's
o Team management to improve business reporting and financial forecasting for all crop species.
o Foster relationships with key accounts and influencers and develop a best-in-class marketing team as measured in structured customer feedback and KPI's

Skills: what we expect of you
TYPICAL EDUCATION
• Degree in business management, or equivalent business experience desirable, but not essential.
EXPERTISE AND SKILLS
• 3 years commercial leadership experience in the seed or agricultural input sector
• Experience and knowledge of seed distribution and production
• Proven ability to develop teams and individuals
• Experience and proven ability to create strong business relationships in the seed distribution sector, and well-developed communication skills
