Under the supervision of the R&D Station Manager and guidence of breeders, this position will act as the ultimate link between the Operations, Breeding and Support teams to ensure the production of high-quality vegetable crops, seed and vegetable transplants to the standards and expectations established by the breeding, research, and operations teams. This position is responsible to provide information and feedback to the station operations team on best management practices, support project management and expected to provide technical support and solutions on his area of actuation (open field, greenhouse, research, maintenance)  with the purpose of introducing new commercially successful varieties.

Crop Management
•    Coordinate in conjunction with the Operations and Breeding teams entire crop management from sowing to seed extraction and storage at Pune R&D Station.  Work very closely with R&D station manager and breeders on data collection and analyses
•    Work together with the operations & breeding team for on-time molecular marker sampling,  and also coordinate shipments of seeds 
•    Provide information to the breeder on the development of crops, variations in development and impact on the results according to the information provided.
•    Provide follow-up and feedback to the Operations team about the cultural management of the crop (Irrigation, Fertilization, yarns, staking, harvests, evaluations, etc.).
•    Generate and share crop development reports to the local and external breeding team, mentioning progress and improvement points in the different crops.
•    Carry out Crop agreement and Crop review of each of the established programs, in conjunction with the R&D station manager and the program breeder.

Planning and Strategy
•    Schedule & participate in regular with the R&D station manager and breeders and Generate reports to review progress and points for improvement
•    Participate in trainings as needed and provided that will help develop an optimal strategy for crop evaluation, growth, and selection that meets the expectations of the breeding teams.
•    Participate in periodic crop walks with the Station Manager and/or other Operations Managers to review crop progress and develop plans to address any variances or opportunities. 

Station and Organizational Development and Improvement
•    Promote a culture of continuous improvement and growth for the company. 
•    Participate in safety meetings provided by the HR and Operations team.
•    Participate in periodic staff meetings to share progress and discuss opportunities for improvement.
•    Work with others to provide training and development opportunities for all staff members.
•    Perform other duties as assigned by the R&D station manager 
Support breeders to implement all trials at Pune R&D including sowing, layout plan, sampling for genotyping, transplanting, plant care, pollination, harvesting, seed extraction and data collection. 
-    Responsible in coaching/guiding aid workers to work efficiently
-    Responsible in communicate with farm technician, breeders and workers to achieve the target of trials
-    Support station manager in cost management (tracking labour use, monthly supply inventory)
-    Making work progress report on regularly and share it with respective stake holders. 
- Support Pune station manager as per needs including administrative tasks
