Under the responsibility of the Maize Area Development Manager, he is a key contributor to support the BA product managers and to promote the new products to the S&M teams. Starting from a strong knowledge of markets expectations and local portfolio needs, he manages local new OT applications and leads local products assessment. With a local expertise about new products in his market segments, he steers the decision for new products launching.
He performs the DPM and new commercial products assessment and qualification in the countries where he is responsible. He collects and analyzes the local information, assess and qualify the new products coming from Research, and contributes to the transversal assessment and the launching decisions.

1. Contribute to define Product ideotype per segment
• Follow up of leader competitors products, connection with BA Product Managers to understand markets expectations and identify future farmers needs
• Contribute to update Product ideotype per segment

2. Follow Research products and germplasm pipeline
• Contribute to new candidates qualification and ranking
• Visit Research EX2 locations and take benefit from the Research information and expertise

3. Development Trials
• Contribute to build and analyze the DPM trials networks in his area
• Visit the trials, organize corn tours together with Product Managers, realize the notations and observations in the field

4. Trials data validation and analysis
• Steer the data collection in the Information System, validate the trial plots and the data collected, perform the data analysis and forming

5. Applications
• Contribute to the decision process for new applications in official trials

6. New Product assessment
• Synthetize the product description, qualification and assessment compared to checks and leading competitors' products
• Contribute to the Launching Go/No Go decision process and to the support to BA S&M teams with technical information and argumentation
• Quantify farmers benefits to support technical positioning
• Define expected sales at maturity level in close connection with BA Product Managers

7. Support BA for New Product Launching :
• Provide product description, charts, synthesis (updated every year from EX2 to 2nd year of launching), technical advantages vs best competitors
• Transfer expertise to BA Product Managers and support them to train the sales teams
• Strongly contribute to build confidence in New Varieties
• Monitor the perception of BA S&M teams about new products and permanently support and challenge it

8. Support Product Marketing Manager for the Strategic Varieties:
• Leads the technical part of product positioning and argumentation
• Contribute to the New Product Launching

9. Portfolio management :
• Manage update of portfolio per country (par variety stage and per segment) in close connection with BA product managers
