Main Goal
Reporting to the Europe Unit Managing Director, the Subsidiary Manager will be responsible to manage sales, the development and administrative activities of the subsidiary in Spain and Portugal.
Job description
• Set the strategic action plan of the subsidiary, the quantitative and qualitative objectives of the team and follow the realizations;
• Develop the turnover and increase market shares by insuring the sales & development team coordination;
• Prospect, follow and develop the customer loyalty, chose the distribution channels, define sales and price conditions;
• Manage and guarantee the seeds supply chain, manage the stock and credit risks;
• Set the sales and P&L budget of the subsidiary;
• Manage, motivate and lead the sales-development and administrative teams (around 25 persons)
• Lead and support change management to develop operational excellence within perimeter
• Implement new business tools when needed
• Manage the subsidiary from an operational, financial and administrative perspective, ensuring deployment of new procedures in compliance with company policy
• Interface with various departments as required (marketing, finance, etc…) and participate in projects at company level.
• Oversee the regular business and financial reporting activity of the subsidiary;
• Manage the internal and external communication of the subsidiary in coordination with the Europe Unit;
• Ensure compliance with all safety and legal obligations; this also includes responsibility for research sites located in Spain.
Profile
• Degree in Agriculture, Agribusiness or Business School plus 5/7 years of minimum work experience;
• Knowledge of seed business sector;
• Significant experience in management, supervision of projects and in sales;
• Ability to perform and to lead;
• Strong communication, organizational, analytical and synthetic skills;
•Methodical and precise, you have a sense of responsibilities and the ability to anticipate and to decide;
• Dynamic and sales-driven;
• Open-minded, agile and leadership;
• Fluent in Spanish and English, French could be a plus.
The position is based in Alicante or Alméria and requires frequent travels within Spain, Portugal and Europe.
